Portraits Records of moments in our lives, even in this age of easy image making are often strikingly few after the moment has passed. Or, we find we have many many snaps, but have lost the habit of having beautiful crafted images made of our family and ourselves. Capture the spontaneity of childhood rather than spend hours trying to get them to sit still and stare into a studio camera. And why just children? Anything or anyone that is special deserves recording. In black and white I can create timeless imagery so informal and true that it preserves the moment - exactly as you remember it. Rather than posed, fake groups, I simply join you at home, on holiday, at family parties or any event - from an engagement party to a BBQ. Just be yourselves and let the camera seek out and record the essence of the people, place and time you wish to remember. Equally, corporate portraiture can be approached in the same way; reflecting more personality and character than the usual mug shots. Agents shots or publicity libraries for actors, comedians and artists can be equally engaging when approached in this way. |
